Saab 900s Short Belt Modification

Why doing this modification ?

  1. First, it bypass one of the idler plastic pulley (the hardest to change!).
  2. Second, it allows you to install a less expensive and easier to find belt.
  3. Third, it allows you to change at the same time, the idler pulley #6, the one that fail the most.

No, no timing issues since this is not a timing belt; it just powers the accessories (AC, pwr steering, water pump, etc.) One less thing to fail.
